Masked Creation

February 9, 2011

There is something about being yourself that can be impossibly difficult.  People fall in love because of this.  They find someone who just lets them be them and it’s over.  Lets them be them, as if they have any control.  Control is what we have.  We have control and not one other person.

Being yourself…

There is something about being yourself that is impossibly beautiful.  If we’re going to believe that we were created in the image of God…  If we’re going to believe that we are unique…

If we are going to believe that we are both unique and created in the image of God then we must believe this:  We are an expression of God that He has not shown to anyone at any time.  No person has ever been the expression of God’s personality that He has given uniquely to us.

And here is the difficulty.  Our difficulties are within ourselves and spiritual.  We are an aspect of God that Satan does not want revealed.  Our difficulty in expressing who we are does not reside in anyone else or circumstance.  Satan will lure you away from finding yourself with the bait of finding yourself.  Really.

We are lured with all sorts of things.  What they are is not important, but the outcome is.  The outcome is that we venture farther and farther from That which will reflect back to us the beauty of who we are.  The full expression of who we are will only be found in Him who has created us.

There is something beautiful about yourself that has never been seen before.  There is something beautiful about your personality that can only be experienced through knowing God.  In Him is the freedom.  Only in God can the mask be removed and God can reveal Himself to the world through His unique expression.
