Brawling and Bloodstained

February 15, 2011

A dusty street

Rumbling with impatient

Young men steely and strong

Armed with ideals

And lies

At the bottom of the belly

Cry and sing

Of rocks blood pain victory

Through a protest celebration

Of violence and peace

Down with America

Well, down with you too

Down with humanity

Naked and exposed

Is nothing more than war

Is our way

Back yonder in the paw-paw patch

Our way, all ways

Leads to peace, right?

For someone always

Gets back up

Stay down, stay down

It’ll all be over

In due time

Is moving so fast

That we can’t keep up

With the regime change

And the war machine churns

Out strong boys

As full of ideas as the next man

Is brown is yellow is red is white

Knuckled haranguing

Of the “bad guy”

Is not who you think they are

Not who you think

It’s you and it’s me

Do you think?

It’s them of course

It’s not me or you

It’s humanity naked and brawling

Sweaty and bloodstained

Just like you
