A bed of rest
Your final place
Into His eyes you pressed and pressed
Longing written upon your face
A bed of rest and of relief
To peaceful sleep, carried by belief
In God’s own Son and God’s own grace
The longing written upon your face
A bed of rest and family near
Into His arms, there was no fear
Long before, the decision made
Into His blood the Savior bade
A bed of rest and friends close by
Your face uplifted to the sky
Peaceful now in arms you trust
You mouthed the words
“I see Jesus.”
Creative writing, well done!
